Join Rachelle Doorley, author of Tinkerlab: A Hands-On Guide for Little Inventors, for a hands-on workshop in nurturing creative kids. Doorley will give tips on visiting art museums with the entire family and then enjoy hands-on art-making, gallery tours, and a book-signing.

Most of us look at the expression of the sitter in a portrait. In this lecture, we’ll look to the eyes behind the lens—the photographer—and examine the environment and the times that influenced the artist’s work. Artist, writer, and curator Việt Lê will offer insight into culture wars from past to present; related debates over identity, sexuality, and representation; and the role of photography in these discussions.
