Adults

  • A group of adults stands facing away from the photo. On the table there are crafts made out of paper in the shape of animals, bridges, and cliffs. There is also tape, and Crayola markers.

  • A docent stands in front of a crowd seated on wooden stools leads a discussion. Next to her is a sculpture of a Victorian woman directly to her right.

Our galleries support quiet contemplation, but the Museum thrives as a place of vibrant exchange. We hope you’ll take advantage of SJMA adult education programs as ways to explore the art of our time. We offer guided tours, on-site activities, artist interviews, and reading areas within the exhibitions. We also provide the ever-popular (and free) Art Packs—bags filled with engaging in-gallery activities, such as games that invite you to determine which works you do (and don’t) like and which you think were hardest (or easiest) to make, as well as guided opportunities to turn your art viewing into art-making by writing poems or sketching.
